NOJA Power is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its employees in an environment, which promotes the health and well being of the individual.

The health and safety management system of NOJA Power is developed using the AS/NZS 4801- Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management Systems standard and which focuses on targeted, continuous improvement in health and safety management. The management system represents a systematic approach to managing the health and safety risks and establishes the coordination and cooperation among management and employees to:

  • Set health and safety objectives and targets;
  • Identify hazard, health and safety risk in process;
  • Assess risk and implement corrective and preventive actions required;
  • Achieve and maintain compliance with legislation and other regulatory requirements;
  • Plan, document, measure and evaluate health and safety performance.

NOJA Power establishes policy and procedure for incident and issue reporting and investigation. The Company ensures that the root cause of the incident is found and appropriate corrective and preventive action is taken. The Company also adopts suitable workplace rehabilitation policy and procedure which supports an early safe return of any worker who has an injury or illness. Workplace rehabilitation includes early provision of timely and adequate services, including suitable duties programs.

Management at all levels is committed to the prevention of accidents through the identification, assessment and elimination of workplace hazards and the promotion of health and safety awareness among its employees and contractors and demonstrate due diligence.

Employees accept their responsibility to work safely and cooperate with management in the health and safety program. Programs such as implement safe operating procedures, job safety analysis, risk assessments, cleaning of workplace, regular health check, health and safety seminars, conduct sports and exercises, vaccinations etc are conducted in the Company with active participation of Top Management.

Employees abide by all statutory Acts and Regulations as a minimum standard and strive to maintain a level of safety, which exceeds the legal requirements.

The Company encourages employee participation and consultation in matters affecting the health and safety of the employees and seek suggestions from them to improve the health and safety standard.
