NOJA Power Announces Sectionalizer Functionality for EcoLink®
Enhancing Grid Reliability and Asset Replacement

The EcoLink®, already renowned for its compact design and advanced automation features, now offers Sectionalizer mode, allowing it to count upstream fault events and isolate faulted sections of the network without initiating a trip. This functionality is critical for improving fault management in overhead distribution networks, particularly in rural and remote areas.
In addition to traditional sectionalising, EcoLink® now includes an optional backup protection feature. In scenarios where EcoLink® detects a fault but the upstream circuit breaker fails to operate, EcoLink® can initiate a trip to prevent prolonged outages and equipment damage. This dual capability ensures enhanced protection coordination and supports utilities in maintaining high service reliability standards.
Key Benefits of EcoLink® with Sectionalizer Functionality:
- Asset Replacement: Seamlessly replaces legacy sectionalizer units with a modern, IEC and IEEE standards compliant solution.
- Backup Protection: Offers fault-clearing capability when upstream devices fail to operate.
- Improved Reliability: Reduces outage duration and geographic impact
“This upgrade to EcoLink® reflects our commitment to delivering smarter, safer, and more sustainable solutions for power distribution,” said Neil O'Sullivan, Group Managing Director at NOJA Power.“Utilities can now modernise their networks with a single device that combines sectionalising intelligence and backup protection, all in a compact and cost-effective package.”Download New EcoLink® Brochure
